Bonne fete. Eid Mubarak. Selamat Hari Raya!
Today is the 8th of Syawal. Alhamdulillah, I enjoyed this year's Raya, the fourth
Syawal being away from family. Not knowing the exact reason but I
can tell this is the first time I get so excited and happy celebrating Hari
Raya in North America. Although sometimes I feel homesick, still I am able to manage the
feeling pretty well.
As for me, doing a Ph.D. abroad teaches you more than what you thought before starting the track- what life means, from time to time (I
understand there still a lot to learn). It helps you recognize your inner
potential that you might not even notice before. And the biggest thing is to
get to know Allah more and better.
PS: Good luck to Yanie for her coming viva! Ganbatte, my friend!
